The Polands were the family of my Great Grandfather Aubrey West Edwards mother Elizabeth Alice "Lizzie" Poland Edwards.

Lizzie's parents, Mariah Hannah Noland Poland and Thornton Poland had six children. Thornton died at age 39, in 1864. After his death, Mariah married Henry Vick in 1866. They had a daughter, Della in 1867. In 1878 they moved with the children to Junction City, Kansas.
